MANCA Celebrates Onam! മലയാളി അസ്സോസിയേഷന്‍ ഓണം 2008

MANCA (Malaytalee Association of Northern California) celebrated  Onam and kicked off their 25th anniversary celebrations on September 13, 2008! San Francisco Indian Consulate General Susmita Gongulee Thomas was the honored guest who inaugurated the night's function. 

Presidents are recognized for their contributions to the community.

മലയാളി അസ്സോസിയേഷന്‍  of Northern California ഓണംആഘോഷിച്ചു. മാവേലിക്കു സ്വീകരണം, ഓണസദ്യ, വിവിധ കലാപരിപാടികള്‍ എന്നിവയോടെ നടന്ന ആഘോഷങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായി കഴിഞ്ഞ 25 കൊല്ലത്തിനിടയില്‍ പ്രസിഡണ്ട് സ്ഥാനം വഹിച്ചവരെ ആദരിക്കുന്ന ചടങ്ങും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. സാന്‍ ഫ്രാന്‍സിസ്ക്കോയിലെ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ കണ്‍സുലര്‍ ഗനറല്‍   സുസ്മിതാ ഗാംഗുലീ തോമസ് ചടങ്ങ് ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്ത് എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും ഓണാശംസകള്‍ നേര്‍ന്നു,

നൃത്തശില്പം: “ഒരു വടക്കന്‍ വീരഗാഥ”

കാലിഫോര്‍ണിയയില്‍ വിഷുവിന് “കേരള ഡേ” - ആഘോഷങ്ങള്‍!

സാന്‍ ഫ്രാന്‍സിസ്ക്കോ ഉള്‍ക്കടല്‍ തീരത്ത് ഇവിടുത്തെ മലയാളികള്‍ ഒത്തുകൂടി വിഷു ആഘോഷിച്ചു. മില്പിറ്റാസിലെ India Community Center-ല്‍ ഈ "Kerala Day" കൊണ്ടാടുന്നതിന് മലയാളി കുടുംബങ്ങള്‍ ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 2 മണിയോടെ എത്തിത്തുടങ്ങി. മൂന്നു മണിമുതല്‍ ആറു മണി വരെ നടന്ന പരിപാടികള്‍ താലപ്പൊലി, ചെണ്ടമേളം, മാവേലിയുടെ വരവ് എന്നിവയോടെ ആരംഭിച്ചു...

താലപ്പൊലിയേന്തി, കേരളത്തിന്റെ സ്വന്തം “സെറ്റ് മുണ്ട്” ഉടുത്ത് എല്ലാവരെയും എതിരേറ്റു.
